The equation of the given line is

x - 1 = 0

By adding 1 to both sides,

x - 1 + 1 = 0 + 1

x = 1

The graph of the given equation would be a vertical line passing through

x = - 1. This means that the graph of a parallel line pass through the point(- 2, 10) would pass would have a line passing through x = - 2

Adding 2 to both sides,

x + 2 = - 2 + 2

x + 2 = 0

The equation of the the line parallel to x − 1 = 0 that passes through the point ( − 2 , 10) is

x + 2 = 0
