The police line up 10 people in an identity parade; only one of the people is the criminal.

So, the number of persons who are not criminals = 10 - 1 = 9

A witness does not recognize the criminal and so chooses a person at random.

So, the probability of choosing one not criminal


(1)/(9)=0.11

So, the probability that the criminal is NOT chosen = 1 - 0.11 = 0.89

So, the answer will be 0.89
