The last time Edmond checked, the corn stalks in his back yard were 48 inches tall. Now they are 25% taller. How tall are the stalks now? inches

We know that the initial height is 48 inches.

We have to find 25% of 48.


0.25\cdot48=12

Then, we sum the increase with the initial height.


48+12=60

Hence, the height now is 60 inches.
