Since the triangle is right-angled, then we can use the Pythagorean rule to solve x

Hence,


\begin{gathered} x^2+18^2=30^2 \\ x^2+324=900 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow x^2=900-324=576 \\ \Rightarrow x=\sqrt[]{576}=24units \end{gathered}

x = 24
