What is biology? with example

Biology is one of the four basic sciences (along with chemistry, maths, and physics), which uses the scientific method to test hypotheses, theories, and laws corresponding to living things. This science (biology) is a branch of the human knowledge that is in charge of the study of the different phenomena of our natural world, inquiring about what is life, what is a cell, what is an organism and a species, how cells and organisms can live, and what processes allow them to live. What is the DNA, and the other biomolecules associated with the living things as we know them (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids), and how an offspring can resemble their parents. Biology also gives us a tool, as basic science, to improve our quality of life, as the quality of life of other species, by the use of biotechnology and artificial selection (which is based on natural selection). We can see that biology has multiple applications, then, some of them, we can see it below.
