Given the inequality

2s-5>6s-6

Add 5 on both sides.

\begin{gathered} 2s-5+5>6s-6+5 \\ 2s>6s-1 \end{gathered}

Add -6s on both sides.

\begin{gathered} 2s-6s>6s-1-6s \\ -4s>-1 \end{gathered}

Divide by -4 on both sides and reverse the inequality.

s<(1)/(4)

which is in the simplest form.
