SOLUTION:


\begin{gathered} x^2+y^2=\text{ 16} \\ x\text{ = 2} \\ 2^2+y^2\text{ = 16} \\ y^2\text{ = 16 - 4} \\ y^2\text{ = 12} \\ y\text{ = }\sqrt[]{12} \\ y\text{ = 3.464} \end{gathered}

The length of the chord = 2 x 3.464 = 6.928

To the nearest tenth 6.9 units.
