A student is making a solution of sugar in water. If the student uses 0.61 moles of sugar and enough water to make 113.95 milliliters of solution, what is the molarity of the student's sugar solution? Round your answer to the nearest 0.01 and include units properly abbreviated, but NOT substance!

Molarity or molar concentration is a measure of the concentration of a chemical species, of a solute in a solution, using as units, number of moles, and volume in liters. The formula for Molarity is:

M = n/V

Where:

n = number of moles

V = volume in Liters

In this question, we have:

M = 0.61/0.114

M = 5.35 mol/L is the molarity of this solution
