in order to find the intersection of both functions equal the expressions

`x+5=-x^2+x+6`

equal to 0 the expression by bringing all to one side

`x+5+x^2-x-6=0`

simplify the expression

`x^2-1=0`

solve the expression

`\begin{gathered} x^2=1 \\ x=\pm\sqrt[]{1} \\ x_1=1;x_2=-1 \end{gathered}`

the graphs intercept at x=-1 and x=1
