For each equation, determine whether x and y are directly proportional(that is, if the equation shows direct variation). If so, then find the constant of proportionality(the constant of variation)

For exercise a, the variables are directly proportional, and the constant of proportionality is -3/5.

In exercise b the variables are not directly proportional, since they have an extra constant adding to x.
