Note that dilating a figure by a scale factor (k). will NOT change the orientation and the ratio of corresponding sides are equal to that scale factor (k).

From the problem :

a. The orientation of the figure did not change. True

b. The ratios of corresponding sides are all equal to 2.5. True

The figure is a square with a side length of 4.

The dilated figure will be 2.5 times this original square.

So the side length will be 4 x 2.5 = 10
