Since the cost of the event contains 2 parts

1. A fixed amount of $250

2. $55 per person

Let the number of attendees = x, then

Multiply x by $55, then add the product to $250

The total cost for x attendees is

C=250+55x

To find the charge of each attendee, divide the total cost by the number of attendees

\begin{gathered} \text{Charge for attende}e=(C)/(x) \\ \text{Charge for attende}e=(250+55x)/(x) \end{gathered}

The answer is

(250+55x)/(x)
