Explanation:

Use Pythagorean theorem,

hypotenuse² = base² +altitude²

= 5² +6²

= 25 + 36

= 61

First diagonal =
√(61) = 7.81 m

Second diagonal² = first diagonal² + altitude²

=
(√(61))^(2) + 3²

= 61 + 9

= 70

second diagonal =
√(70) = 8.37 m

First diagonal + second diagonal = 7.80 + 8.37 = 16.17 = 16
