In order to determine the coordinates of the point image of P(7/4 , -5/2) with for a scale factor of 1/7, consider that the new point is obtained by multiplying each coordinate of the point P by the scale factor.

Then, multiply 1/7 (the scale factor) by the coordinates of P (which are 7/4 and -5/2), as follow:

7/4 · 1/7 = 1/4

-5/2 · 1/7 = -5/14

where you have multiplied numerators and denominators respectively.

The result obtained are the coordinates of the new point.

Hence, the point image of P is (1/4 , -5/14)
