y = 2x + 1

y = 4x - 1

We need to first find the points of the line

y = 2x + 1

put x = 0

y = 1

put y =0 and then solve for x

0 = 2x + 1

2x = -1

x = -1/2 = -0.5

The points are (0, 1 ) and (-0.5, 0)

Next, we will find the x and y-intercepts / the points on the second line

y = 4x - 1

put x = 0

y = -1

(0, -1)

Also put y =0 and solve for x

0 = 4x - 1

4x = 1

x = 1/4 =0.25

(0.25, 0)

The points are (0, -1 ) and (0.25 , 0)

The point of intersection is (1, 3)
