how can i turn a repeating decimal to a fraction

Example

we have

0.33333333...

Let

x=0.3333...

10x=3.33333...

Subtract

10x-x

9x=3.3333...-0.333...

9x=3

solve for x

x=3/9

Simplify

x=1/3

the fraction is 1/3
