Both lines form four angles. Two are congruent, and the other two are also congruent.

In this line, we have that 22 degrees and (5x + 3) degrees are supplementary angles (they sum 180 degrees).That is:

22 + (5x + 3) = 180

22 + 5x + 3 = 180

22 + 3 + 5x = 180

25 + 5x = 180

Subtracting 25 at both sides:

25 - 25 + 5x = 180 - 25

0 + 5x = 155

Dividing at both sides by 5:

(5x / 5) = (155/5)

x = 31

Therefore, this angle is 5x31 + 3 = 155 + 3 = 158 degrees.
