Given the following function:

f(x)=-5x^2+2x+9

We will find f(1) and f(2)

\begin{gathered} x=1\rightarrow f(1)=-5(1)^2+2(1)+9=-5+2+9=6 \\ x=2\rightarrow f(2)=-5(2)^2+2(2)+9=-20+4+9=-7 \end{gathered}

Comparing the values of f(1) and f(2)

[tex]f(2)So, the answer will be option 3

The value of f(2) is smaller than the value of f(1)
