Given the equation below:

3(x-4)=2(-2x+1)

Remove the brackets by using the distributive property of algebra

3(x)-3(4)=2(-2x)+2(1)
\begin{gathered} 3x-12=-4x+2 \\ \end{gathered}

Collect like terms and simplify

\begin{gathered} 3x+4x=2+12 \\ 7x=14 \\ (7x)/(7)=(14)/(7) \\ x=2 \end{gathered}

Hence, the value of x is 2
