You put $2000 into a college savings account for four years. The account pays 6% interest annually. what is the y-intercept?

If the relationship between the amount on the account with respect to the time in years, the y-intercept of it would be represented by the amount of money on the account at the moment you started saving, i.e. the money you deposit at t=0 years.

If the starting balance on the account is $2000, then this value represents the y-intercept of the relationship.
