y = mx + b

Where

m is slope

b is y intercept

Let's rearrange this equation into slope-intercept form:


\begin{gathered} 2y+x=-12 \\ 2y=-x-12 \\ y=-(x)/(2)-(12)/(2) \\ y=-(1)/(2)x-6 \end{gathered}

From this form, we can say:
