2y+x=4

Start by writing the equation in slope intercept form

y=mx+b

using this

\begin{gathered} 2y=4-x \\ y=(4)/(2)-(x)/(2) \\ y=-(1)/(2)x+2 \end{gathered}

according to this the slope of the line is -1/2 and the y-intercept is 2.
