To solve each of the given problems we will use the following properties of multiplication and division of fraction:


\begin{gathered} (a)/(b)*(d)/(c)=(a* d)/(b* c) \\ \\ ((a)/(b))/((d)/(c))=(a)/(b)*(c)/(d) \\ \\ A(B)/(C)=(A* C+B)/(C) \end{gathered}

To solve the problem a) we do as follows:


(21)/((7)/(3))=((21)/(1))/((7)/(3))=(21)/(1)*(3)/(7)=(21*3)/(1*7)=(63)/(7)=9

From this solution, the answer for problem a) is 9

For the problem b), we proceed as follows:


\begin{gathered} (4(2)/(3))/((7)/(9))=((4*3+2)/(3))/((7)/(9)) \\ \\ =((14)/(3))/((7)/(9)) \\ \\ =(14)/(3)*(9)/(7) \\ \\ =(14*9)/(3*7) \\ \\ =(2*7*3*3)/(3*7) \\ \\ =2*3=6 \end{gathered}
