The electric meter reads 2714 kw/h

At the end of the previous month the reading was 1965 kw/h

The cost for each kw/h is 8Cents

To calculate how much kw/h he consumed over the month, subtract to this month's reading the reading for the previous month:

2714-1965=749

This month the consumed 749 kw/h

Multiply this value to the price per Kw/h

749\cdot8=5992

The amount is 5992cents, if you divide it by 100 you'll get the total amount for the electric bill:

(5992)/(100)=59.92

The correct option is c. $59.92
