2) A bag contains 6 black and 8 white marbles. One marble is drawn at random.What is the probability that the marble drawn is black? *

The Probablity is calculated as


P(b)=\frac{b}{\text{total}}

Here P(b) is the probablity of black marble and b is the number of black marbles. So


P(b)=(6)/(6+8)=(6)/(14)=(3)/(7)

So out of the seven balls drawn, three will be black.
