(1) A box contains 3 Blue, 5 Red, and 2 White balls. Three balls are chosen at random (without replacement). Determine the probability that you draw a Blue, White, Red (in that order).(2) A box contains 5 Blue, 3 Red, and 2 White balls. Three balls are chosen at random (without replacement). Determine the conditional probability that the last ball is White given that the first two were Blue.(3) In a family of 3 children, what is the probability that there are more boys than girls?

Given that A box contains 3 Blue, 5 Red, and 2 White balls, and three balls are chosen without replacement.

We can determine the probability you draw a Blue, White, Red (in that order) using the formula below.

\text{Probability}=\frac{number\text{ of favourable outcomes}}{\text{Total number of outcomes}}

Since the balls are picked without replacement, every time we pick one ball, the total number of balls left reduces. Therefore,

Pr(\text{BWR)}=Pr(B)* Pr(W)* Pr(R)
undefined
