-6x - 4y = 36

6x is subtracting on the left, then it will add on the right

-4y = 36 + 6x

-4 is multiplying on the left, then it will divide on the right

y=(36+6x)/(-4)

Distributing:

\begin{gathered} y\text{ = }(36)/(-4)+(6)/(-4)x \\ y=-9-(3)/(2)x \\ y=-(3)/(2)x-9 \end{gathered}
