How do i put -6x+2y=4 in slope intercept form

The slope-intercept form is


y=mx+b

Then we should isolate y on the left side and put x with the numerical term on the right side

The given equation is


-6x+2y=4

We want to move -6x to the right side, so add 6x to both sides


\begin{gathered} -6x+6x+2y=4+6x \\ 2y=4+6x \end{gathered}

Now, we want the coefficient of y equal to 1, then divide both sides by 2


\begin{gathered} (2y)/(2)=(4)/(2)+(6x)/(2) \\ y=2+3x \\ y=3x+2 \end{gathered}

The equation in the slope-intercept form is

y = 3x + 2
