\begin{gathered} 5in*2.5=12.5in \\ 8in*2.5=20in \end{gathered}

Now, multiply width times height to find the area of the picture (assuming that it has a rectangular shape):


12.5in*20in=250in^2

Therefore, the area of the enlarged picture will be 250 squared inches.
