Given,

The initial velocity of the car, u=0 m/s

The final velocity of the car, v=75.0 m/s

The time it takes for the car to accelerate to the given rate, t=6.3 s

The final velocity of the car in m/s is,


\begin{gathered} v=75*(5)/(18) \\ =20.83\text{ m/s} \end{gathered}

The acceleration of an object is the time rate of change of its velocity.

Thus the average acceleration of the car is given by,


a=(v-u)/(t)

On substituting the known values,


\begin{gathered} a=(20.83-0)/(6.3) \\ =3.31\text{ m/s}^2 \end{gathered}

Thus the average acceleration of the car is 3.31 m/s²
