Given:

Focus (0, 4)

The standard equation for a parabola is :

y = a(x - h)² + k

But, h=0 and k=0

y = a(x - 0)² + 0

So we have y = ax² ------------------------------------(1)

We need to find the value of a.

But we know the focs is (0, 4)

Focus :(0, k+p)

P = 4

a = 1/4p

Substitute the value of p = 4 and evaluate

a = 1/4(4) = 1/16

Substitute a = 1/16 into equation(1)

That is;

y= 1/16 x²

Therefore, the parabola equation is:

y= 1/16 x²
