a) For the first part, we need to draw on the plane the points given in the table, as shown below

Option A is the answer.

b) On the other hand, the logarithmic function is the kind of function that grows the slowest. Then, we would expect that, if the function was logarithmic, the difference between f(9)-f(7)=6 would be less than the difference between f(3)-f(1)=6

Since that does not happen, the function cannot be a logarithm of any kind.

The answer is that the linear model is the one that better fits the data.
