The inequality given is:

4x>32

We need to isolate x in order to graph the solution. We divide both sides by 4 and get:

\begin{gathered} 4x>32 \\ (4x)/(4)>(32)/(4) \\ x>8 \end{gathered}

The solution is x > 8, or x is anything and everything greater than 8. In a number line, it would look like this:

Note: the open circle at 8 tells us that 8 IS NOT INCLUDED. Makes sense, since the solution was x greater than 8, NOT x is equal to 8 and greater...

So, we drew an arrow showing the numbers greater than 8 but didn't include 8 by showing an open circle at 8.

If it was >=, greater than or equal to, then 8 would have been a closed circle.
