The slope of a line that passes through two points is given by:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Plugging the values of the points given we have that:

\begin{gathered} m=(-5-5)/(-16-9) \\ m=(-10)/(-25) \\ m=(2)/(5) \end{gathered}

Therefore the slope is 2/5
