b) Secondly, we will like to compare the median values of the data sets

As we can see, the median value of the secod brand (Brand Y) is bigger than the inner value of the first brand (Brand X)

So what does this signify?

The median generally signifies the mid-value as said earlier. The higher value of median obtained in the second brand means that the values of the data set of the second brand is higher.
