Explanation:

Elsa 40÷6= 6.666, or 6 2/3 bushels per hour

Kim 40÷10= 4 bushels per hour.

together, they pick 10.66 bushels per hour, so 40÷ 10.66= 3.75 hours, or 3 hours, 45 minutes
