In this problem the ratio is 5 inches represent 7 feet, so if in the blueprint the wall is 42 inches the we can use a rule of 3 so:


\begin{gathered} 5\to7 \\ 42\to x \end{gathered}

and the equation is:


\begin{gathered} x=(42\cdot7)/(5) \\ x=58.8 \end{gathered}

So the wall is 58.8 feet
