THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONSTRUCTING PARALLEL LINES AND CONSTRUCTING PERPENDICULAR LINES.

Constructing parallel lines does not permit the lines meeting at any point or angle.

On the contrary, the construction of perpendicular lines requires the two lines meet each other at an angle of 90 degrees.
