Six years ago a man's age was six times the age of his son. Four years hence, thrice his age will be equal to eight times his son's age. find their percent ages.​

Answer:

Present age =

fathers= 6x+6 = 36

sons = x+6 = 11

Explanation:

-6:

father's age = 6x

sons age = x

Present age =

fathers= 6x+6

sons = x+6

+4 yrs:

father's age = 6x+6 +4 = 6x + 10

sons age = x+6 + 4 = x+ 10

3(6x +10) = 8( x + 10 )

18x+30 = 8x+80

18x-8x = 80-30

10x = 50

x= 50/10 = 5
