If we select a random point

If we reflect over each line then this is going to depend on where the preimage is located, if the preimage is located close to y=-10 like the case above then the reflection will stay on the same distance to the line but it will appear above the line.

In general terms the reflection will have the same distance that it originally had to the line but in the opposite direction, if the preimage was above the line then it will appear under the line and if the preimage was under the line

then the reflection will appear above the line.
