Hello everybody. Could anybody help me out with this problem? Instructions are kinda confusing so make sure you read them carefully(they are in photo) If you need more info on the Instructions just ask me :) I don't need a really big explanation because I kinda understand this but a brief explanation on how you got the answer would be nice :)

As we can see based on the coordinates given, as x increases, y also increases, meaning that the relationship shown is direct (D).

To get the equation, we have to use to coordinates of the given to get the slope ( m ), for example, (1, 3) and (10, 21):

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Replacing the values of the coordinates chosen, we get:

m=\frac{21_{}-3_{}}{10_{}-1_{}}=(18)/(9)=2

Then, to know the y-intercept ( b ), we choose one of the coordinates and isolate the variable using the equation of the line as follows:

y=mx+b
3=(2)\cdot(1)+b
b=3-2
b=1

Therefore, the equation is:

y=2x+1

Answer:

• Direct relation

,

• Equation:

y=2x+1
