From the question

6 inches ruler projects 15 inches on the board and

paper projects 35 inches on the board

Let P represents the length of the paper. so we have


\begin{gathered} 6\text{ inches }\rightarrow15\text{ inches } \\ P\text{ inches }\rightarrow35\text{ inches } \\ cross\text{ multiply we have } \\ 6*35=15* P \\ 210=15P \\ P=(210)/(15) \\ P=14 \end{gathered}

Hence the length of the paper is 14 inches
