We will have the following:

* x = -2 & y = 6:

(-2)(6)=-12

*x = -1 & y = 12:

(-1)(12)=-12

*x = 1 & X = 12:

(1)(12)=12

*x = 2 & y = -6:

(2)(-6)=-12

From this, we can see that the sets do not represent an inverse variation.
