Because x^4 is being multiplied n=by a negative number, the parabola will face down. That means it is between a and b. To figure out which graph it is, I look at points I could compare.

In graph A, when x=1, y < 1. In graph B, when x=1, y>1.

If i plug x= 1 into f(x), I get:

f(1) = -1/2(1)^4

f(1)=-1/2(1)

f(1)=-1/2

Because f(1) < 1, it is graph A.
