-5*6^{n\text{ -10}}=-72\text{ }

Step 1: Divide both sides by -5

\frac{-5*6^{n\text{ -10}}}{-5}\text{ =}(-72)/(-5)
6^{n\text{ -10}}\text{ = 14.4}

Step 2: Take the log of both sides

(n-10)\text{ log 6 = log 14.4}

log 6 = 0.7782

log 14.4 = 1.1584

(n - 10) x 0.7782 = 1.1584

Step 3: Divide both sides by 0.7782

\frac{(n-10)\text{ x 0.7782}}{0.7782}\text{ =}(1.1584)/(0.7782)

n - 10 = 1.4885

Step 3: Add 10 to both sides

n = 10 + 1.4885

n = 11.4885
