Hi! I am currently trying to find x and y. I have the equation 182°-4x+5x+2°+4y+2°, I am not sure what it would equal maybe 180 or 360?

Given:

182°-4x

5x+2°

4y+2°.

The objective is to find x and y.

By the property of lines and angles, vertically opposite angles of an intersecting angles are always equal.

So,

\begin{gathered} 182-4x=5x+2 \\ 182-2=5x+4x \\ 9x=180 \\ x=(180)/(9) \\ x=20 \end{gathered}

Similarly, corresponding angles of a parallel lines are always equal.

So,

182-4x=4y+2

Substitute the avlue of x in the above equation.

\begin{gathered} 182-4(20)=4y+2 \\ 182-80=4y+2 \\ 102=4y+2 \\ 4y=102-2 \\ y=(100)/(4) \\ y=25 \end{gathered}

Hence, the value of x is 20 and the value of y is 25.
