Subtract x - 2y from the sum of -3x + 5y - 3z and 2x - 7y + 3z.

First, find the sum (addition) of -3x + 5y - 3z and 2x - 7y + 3z. To do this, Combine like terms (values with the same variable).

-3x + 2x = -x
5y + -7y = -2y
-3z + 3z = 0

-3x + 5y - 3z + 2x - 7y + 3z = -x -2y

Now subtract x -2y from -x -2y

-x -x = -2x
-2y + 2y = 0

Your final answer is -2x

Answer:

-3x+5y-3z + 2x-7y+3z

= -x-2y

= x-2y-(-x-2y)

= x + x +2y-2y

= 2x
