Take into account that the heavy man weighs more than light woman. It means that heavy man experiences a greater acceleration and then, he increases his speed more rapidly.

Consider that air resistance depends on different factors, and one of them is the speed of the object. The state of zero acceleration is reached when the force of gravity equals the air resistance force. In this case, the air resitance force reaches it maximum in equal times for both heavy man and light woman.

Althoug the light woman is less masive, the magnitude of the air resistance is lower and then it requires less time to reach the equilibrium. The air resistance force on te heavy man has a greater magnitude, however, the man accelerates more rapidly and then the time for the equilibrium is compensated.
