The equation of a line can be written as

y=mx+b

On the graph,

\begin{gathered} \text{Where x=0, y=5} \\ (x_1,y_1)=(0,5) \\ \text{Where x=2, y=0} \\ (x_2,y_2)=(2,0) \end{gathered}

The formula to find the slope, m, of a straight line is given as,

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Substituting the points into the equation above,

m=(0-5)/(2-0)=(-5)/(2)

Hence, the slope, m, of the straight line is -5/2
