Mr. Shark is teaching his students about probabilities. He asks his students to determine the percentage probability of picking a yellow cube if there are 8 yellow cubes out of a total of 100 cubes. His students have no problem solving that. However, when he asks "What is the probability of drawing a red or blue cube if there are 8 red cubes, 20 blue cubes, and 18 yellow cubes?

we have that

total cubes=8+20+18=46

total red or blue cubes=8+20=28

P=28/46

P=0.6087

Convert to percentage

0.6087*100

60.87%
